| Youn Sun NAH performs for UNICEF
28-11-2011 | | The time of giving is upon us. This year, during Youn Sun NAH's Christmas tour in South Korea, she will be performing at a special Christmas concert for UNICEF to raise funds in aid of East African children. The show will be held at the Grand Ballroom of Grand Hilton Seoul.

| Youn Sun NAH nominated for Edison Jazz Award 2011's Best Vocal Category
17-10-2011 | | Just months after taking home the German ECHO Jazz Award for Best International Female Singer, Youn Sun NAH is now in the running to win Netherland's Edison Jazz/World Award 2011 for Best Vocal. The announcement of the nominees came a few days ago, listing Aretha Franklin, John Scofield, Joe Lovano, Brad Mehldau and others among its 2011 nominations.
Regarded as one of the oldest music awards in the world, the Edison Award has handed out over 750 awards for outstanding achievements in the music industry since its inaugural presentation in 1960.
Youn Sun NAH shares the nomination list for Best Vocal with Dutch singer and pianist Ruben Hein as well as American jazz vocalist Kurt Elling.

| Same Girl: Collector's Edition Out Now
30-09-2011 | | Just barely a year after the launch of Youn Sun NAH's seventh album 'Same Girl', we are proud to announce the release of a Collector's Edition of the album in Europe today.
The 2 CD set is released in celebration of her jazz triumph, and a thank you to all fans who have accompanied her on her journey to success. Besides a video performance of "My Favorite Things", Disc 2 contains four previously unreleased songs, which were recorded during the "Voyage" and "Same Girl" album sessions, including her interpretation of the famous French chanson "Avec le Temps".

07-06-2011 | | Youn Sun NAH recently was featured on Channel France 2's JT 13 Heures, a news programme. Spanning 4 days, JT 13 Heures highlighted Youn Sun NAH and her sold-out show performance at the Jazz sous les Pommiers in Coutances. The 8 days-long festival celebrates its 30th anniversary this year and has recorded an incredible attendance of 500,000 spectators.

15-04-2011 | | Youn Sun NAH continues to see success following the release of her seventh studio album, 'Same Girl' in September 2010. To date, she has won numerous awards and the album is in the Top 10 jazz chart for 30 consecutive weeks. Now the Korean jazz vocalist can add the ECHO Jazz Award - Best International Female Singer award to her list of accolades.
This prestigious recognition is an encouragement and appreciation of Youn Sun's passion for creating music. She shares the ECHO Jazz Award 2011 limelight with jazz greats such as Herbie Hancock, Pat Metheny (Intrumentalist of the Year - Special Tools), David Sanborn (Instrumentalist of the Year - Saxophone/Woodwinds), Bobby McFerrin (Best International Male Singer), Brad Melhdau Trio (Ensemble of the Year International) and Lee Ritenour (Instrumentalist of the Year - Guitar), among others.
The ECHO is an annual German music award granted by the German Record Industry Association to honor outstanding achievements and successful local as well as international artists. While the Jazz Award is only in its second year running, the Pop and Classical Awards (aptly named ECHO and ECHO Klassik) have been organised for a number of year now. The winners are selected by a jury comprised of eminent personalities from culture, media and the working committee of the Association of Jazz music industry based on artistic qualities as well as popular success. The award ceremony will take place at Gläsernen Manufaktur in Dresden. |
